Vision and Values
St. Mary’s Wollaston belongs to a group of four church’s just south of Wellingborough in Northamptonshire. All are trying to operate with the following four values which flow through all we do:
As a church we are orthodox in doctrine and morality. We view the Bible as God’s unique message to the world pointing to the significance of the person of Jesus Christ.
We are open to the renewing work of the Holy Spirit in our personal lives and in the life of corporate worship.
We are seeking to develop a dependence on God in our personal lives and in our church life.
In all we do we want to be generous. Generous in our relationships, and with our resources.
The vision for St. Mary’s, Wollaston is:
A church where all ages are welcome. Where people can be themselves and find acceptance, salvation, healing and hope. Where there is practical concern for the poor and disadvantaged. Where the worship is passionate, joyous and seeking intimacy with God. Where people build friendships and feel their skills and talents are used. A church that feels it is on an adventure as it seeks to follow the living God.
